Pattern of different coffee for lovers marks

Brief

As Seasoning Bistro prepared to relocate their gourmet restaurant to a new space in downtown Marion, IL, they needed a website that reflected the elevated quality of their food and dining experience. Their existing online presence didn’t match the level of craft happening in their kitchen, so my goal was to create a clean, modern site that emphasized their dishes through bold, beautiful imagery.

Process

While the team had some great photos of their food, they lacked images that captured the atmosphere, energy, and people behind the scenes. To bring the site to life, I offered to spend a day on-site capturing custom photography and video—highlighting the team in action, the updated space, and the experience of dining at Seasoning. Sometimes going above and beyond pays off—I walked away with a solid shoot and a three-course steak dinner (plus crème brûlée). The site’s design is intentionally minimal and abstract to let the photography shine and present the brand as high-end without feeling overly polished. I also focused heavily on SEO, researching local competitors and strategically integrating keywords to help improve their visibility in search. Built on WordPress, the site allows their team to easily update menus, manage blog content, and adapt as they grow.

Solution

The final result is a clean, dynamic site that communicates Seasoning Bistro’s elevated dining experience and builds excitement around their new location. With a flexible CMS, strong visuals, and search-optimized content, the website has become a valuable tool for engaging current customers and attracting new ones.
